Corporate Farming in Cholistan - Green Pakistan Initiative
As part of the Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI), a landmark collaboration between the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army, GroRizq is leading the reclamation of barren lands in Cholistan, Bahawalpur.
Over 5,000 acres are under transformation, with expansion plans for up to 30,000 acres over the next three years.
Key Highlights:
- 2,000 acres of Rhodes Grass yielding 18,000 tons/year
- 2,000 acres of Alfalfa yielding 12,000 tons/year
- 1,000 acres dedicated to Dates orchards
- 6 operational pivot irrigation systems (each covering 200 acres), with 3 more underway
- 20-year partnership for sustained development
- Use of state-of-the-art agri-tech for water efficiency and yield optimization
- Proprietary Farmer Management Dashboard for real-time monitoring and traceability
